About Hubby and I...

1. What are your middle names?
Lynn and Jon.


2. How long have you been together?
Since May 9, 2000, so 9.5 years.

3. How long did you know each other before you started dating?
About a week. {Remember we were in High School} Our brother's played on the same baseball team.

4. Who asked who out?
He asked me out before his English class in the hallway.

5. How old are each of you?
I'm 24 and he's 25.

6. Did you go to the same school?
Same High School for 3 years. I moved my senior year, his freshman year of college and we went to separate colleges. But I guess at the beginning, yes.

7. Are you from the same home town?
Not really. I moved around a lot as a kid {every 3-4 years}. He has lived in the same town since he was born. I happened to move to his hometown and well now I claim it too.

8. Who is the smartest?
I think we're both smart, but in different areas. He's very good at math, but I'm better at writing and English.

9. Who majored in what?
I have a bachelor of arts in public relations/advertising and he has a bachelor of science in interdisciplinary studies.

10. Who is the most sensitive?
Hands down, without a doubt me.

11. Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?
The Dominican Republic this past summer.

12. Who has the worst temper?
I'd say we're fairly equal. I probably get upset quicker, but I'd say we're the same.

13. How many children do you want?
Two.

14. Who does the cooking?
Mostly me. He will help occasionally. He cooks if we're grilling or having chicken fried steak.

15. Who is more social?
I'm more of a jabber jaws, but I'd say we're both pretty social.

16. Who is the neat freak?
I'd say me. I'm more about things in certain places and keeping the house picked up.

17. Who is the most stubborn?
Ooooo. That's a hard one. We are both Tauruses so we're both fairly stubborn. I would say he's more stubborn, as I can see either side and generally come up with a compromise.

18. Who wakes up earlier?
Hands down me. He's a sleeper. I joke he sleeps more than a newborn baby. I'm up at 5:45 week days while he takes forever to get out of bed. He sleeps about 30 minutes to an hour later than me regularly.

19. Where was your first date?
Since we were so young, we never really had a first date. We started dating the day after he turned 16, so he had limited driving privileges. He took me to El Valle, a local Mexican restaurant, a few times, but never really an official first date.

20. Who has the bigger family?
He does. His family is HUGE!

21. Do you get flowers often?
Not really. I think the last time he got me flowers was on our wedding day. That's OK though. I love flowers, but they die, so I'd rather he didn't spend the money. {However, honey if you happen to read this, you can always buy me flowers, if you feel so inclined}

22. How do you spend the holidays?
Previously, before we lived together, I would do Thanksgiving at his house. Our families would usually do dinner sometime before Christmas and that's where we would exchange gifts, not open, just a handoff. We opened presents separate with our family. That's the way he liked to do it. When we moved in together we started the tradition of Thanksgiving still at his house, but then Christmas Eve with his family and Christmas day with my family. My family now comes to his parent's for Thanksgiving and it's so much fun!

23. Who is more jealous?
I don't think either of us is really jealous.

24. How long did it take to get serious?
About 3 months in, despite our ages, we knew there was something there--not just a high school fling. When we got into college we knew it was a bit more serious and we talked about marriage. I knew he was special from early on :)

25. Who eats more?
Hubby eats more at a time where as I don't, but I'm known to have more snacks since I have smaller portion sizes. He definitely eats more though {thank goodness}

26. What do you do for a living?
I work for a construction consulting company as a project coordinator, meaning I do a little bit of everything -pr, marketing, admin, etc. Hubby is a 7th & 8th grade math teacher as well as a football and basketball coach.

27. Who does the laundry?
We both do it. He's actually really good about putting loads in, folding, or switching it over. I really appreciate his help :)

28. Who's better with the computer?
Eh...we're both good at troubleshooting to a degree. I'd say I'm better maybe because I'm on them all.day.long.

29. Who drives when you are together?
It's really a toss up. Just depends on what our moods are or where we're going.

30. What is your song?
I don't know that we have a specific song. Creed was really big when we first started dating. However, our first dance song was to You're my Witness, by Clay Walker. I think it's a perfect song for us. Another song we both love that was also played at our wedding was Next to Heaven, by Aaron Watson, which is also what gave me the name for this blog :)
