Why should people get all the goodies?

Pets need some goodies too.

This year for my friend's and family's pets, I decided to make them a little something.

Treats!

My dog loves treats, so I thought it would be fun to bake something yummy for the furry critters.

Here's the recipe...

2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup milk

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a bowl, combine flour and baking powder. In another bowl, mix peanut butter and milk. Add wet mixture to dry, and mix well. Turn out dough on a lightly floured surface and knead. Roll out to 1/4-inch thick and cut out shapes. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake 20 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool on a rack then store in an airtight container. Makes 30 large treats.

What a great idea! I think I will have to try these for my dog...although he has a very sensitive stomach. He's a delicate flower! :)

Amy - Since it's whole wheat flour and peanut butter I think it's pretty light on the tummy. You could also use skim milk to help!
