Bzzzz Giveaway!

You may or may not know that I am a Bzz Agent for BzzAgent.com. It's a word-of-mouth media network. They pair customers and marketers of companies together to get opinions from the actual consumer on their products. They send the consumer or Bzz Agent the product and samples to hand out. The consumer then tests the product, write reviews or Bzz Reports, and markets the product to friends and family.

The more reports you submit and your involvement on the site as well as Bzz Campaigns puts you at a higher status to be invited to certain Bzz Campaigns. You fill out surveys online in order for them to properly match you with a product. Then when a match is available and pending your status, you're invited to a campaign! Once you accept you fill out another questionnaire to be sure you're a suitable match. Then your Bzz materials are sent out to you!!

I received my Bzz Box yesterday evening! So now as part of my job as a Bzz Agent I get to give away some samples! My new campaign is for Burt's Bees. The product is Spot Treatment for acne.

I have used a similar product by Clinique and found it to be quite useful. Anytime I have a "boo-boo" I put that on there and it dries it up so it never gets awful looking. I'm looking forward to using this!!

So what do you get if you win my giveaway? This:

There's two samples of the Burt's Bees Spot Treatment with product information. You can keep them both for you or give one to a friend!

It even has the classic Burt's Bees smell :)

So how do you win?

Leave me a comment letting me know you want to be entered in the giveaway and that's it! Super easy! You could also share your "boo-boo" treatment methods should you feel inclined :)

Giveaway ends Wednesday, September 2 at noon!

Friday 5

How’s your tolerance for alcohol?
Not very good. I'm a cheap date :) It's even worse with hard liquor.

How’s your tolerance for noisy neighbors?
Now that we live in a neighborhood we don't experience this as much, but when I lived in apartments I guess it was OK. When it got ridiculous I would get upset or if it was really late I would also get upset. I remember in college we had some really obnoxious football players living above us. They were loud and it sounded like King Kong was a roommate as well. They would have large amounts of people over, play awful music really loud and do "other" things quite loudly. We went one day to politely ask them to consider us downstairs and they said some pretty nasty things. I have NO TOLERANCE for that.

How’s your tolerance for physical pain?
NOT high at all. I don't do well with pain, but I don't like taking prescriptions to make the pain go away lol.

How’s your tolerance for intolerant people?
It depends. I really, really hate dislike rude and intolerant people. (see above) If they are rude to me for no reason I'm really offended.

How’s your tolerance for bad music?
I can mostly ignore it if I'm somewhere with friends. In my car or my personal space...new station please!

Posie-licious

I've felt a bit inspired lately to try some new things - creative of course. I really love learning to do new things.

Designs by Vanessa inspired me with this. I am planning to make mine this weekend. Update to come.

I've also seen posies/flowers here. Great website by the way if you love all things crafty. This girl is awesome.

I've also been inspired by this lovely lady and this one too.

I just love trying my hand at new things...adding to my repertoire if you will. I like to challenge myself. If I see something I like, I want to try to make it if I can.

Well I thought the posies were adorable and I was thinking...how cute would they be as a hair clip!?!

So I made one to wear to work today!

It was SO easy to make and took literally NO TIME at all! Promise! I made it before work this morning if that tells you anything! Yes, I made it before work. I know. BUT I was ready to go AND I made it to work ON TIME!

So what do you think of my little fashion accessory today?

20 Questions

1. Where were you last week at this time?
right here at my desk.

2. What’s your favorite way to eat tomatoes?
I really despise tomatoes. I eat spaghetti sauce, salsa, and ketchup. That's as close as I get.

3. Ok, let's be honest. How often do you use your turn signals when you drive? Do you follow the rules or do you only use it when you feel it's necessary?
I ALWAYS use my turn signal. Commuting as far as I do, I find it highly annoying when people don't use their blinker. I'm pretty good about following the rules. I get over in plenty of time. I don't cut people off. I USE my blinker. I'd say I'm fairly good.

4. This past week, were you more predator or prey?
I don't really consider myself a predator so we'll go with prey. People usually prey on me because I'm too nice.

5. What is the first tv show quote to pop into your head right now?
"Seriously?" - Grey's Anatomy

6. Next time I go to church:
It will be Christmas Eve. I know. We're bad.

7. What was your third grade teacher's name?
Third grade. I remember what she looked like, but I can't remember her name. She looked like Ms. Frizzle off the magic school bus and even had an iguana. Super cool lady.

8. When was the last time you went grocery shopping? Name 3 things you bought.
Sunday. Beef. Chocolate Teddy Grahams. Tissues.

9. What would the title of your autobiography be?
Livin' Loud

10. How many pieces of unopened mail are sitting wherever you put your unopened mail?
I'm pretty sure I went through it all.

11. What 5 emotions do you feel most often?
happiness. worry. frustration. joy. excitement.

12. If you got a new pet right now, what would you name it?
Delilah. I want Boudreaux to have a sister. I just can't convince hubby of it.

13. Admit something. Anything.
I don't always have it AS TOGETHER as it may seem. I promise.

14. Choose a free gift: a daily back massage, dinner at a restaurant once a week, or a brand new book each month.
daily.back.massage.'nuff.said.

15. Name 3 foods that are currently in your freezer.
Homemade Vanilla Blue Bell ice cream. Central Market Organic Mixed Vegetables. Strawberry GoGurt.

16. If given the chance and you could pick the person, would you want to switch lives with someone on earth for one whole day?
I wouldn't want to "switch" lives. I cherrish mine way too much. I would like to spend a day with someone to see what their life is like, but no trading.

17. How much cash do you usually carry with you?
Every payday I get $100 out. $50 for hubby and $50 for me. That generally lasts all month. That's all we'll really ever carry. We're debit card people.

18. How are you today?
Doing fairly well. Not entirely motivated, but getting stuff done. Wanting to be home relaxing and getting stuff done. All in all I'd say I'm doing pretty good.

19. What's the scariest weather situation you've experienced?
I experienced my first hurricane last year with Hurricane Ike. It wasn't scary though. I was so intrigued and looking out my front door half the time. It was scary leading up to it because I wasn't sure what would happen, if we had enough supplies, how bad it was going to be, how scary it was going to be, but the actual storm wasn't scary at all.

20. On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being highest), how attractive do you think you are?
I think I'm fairly attractive. I definitely have my good days and my bad days. I'm no supermodel or anything but I'd give myself at least a 7 or 8.

Thanks Dawn.

Addiction rendered

Maybe. I don't know if I can "render" the addiction, but I can control it, purge it, and organize it!! :)

I'm sure you remember me talking about my shoe addiction yesterday. About how I had a ridiculous large amount of shoes. I don't know...somewhere in the neighborhood of um 62.

BUT I have fixed my problem abundance!! I went through every.single.shoe.I.owned and analyzed each one. I ended up getting rid of like 10 or so!! I felt pretty darn good.

So then I started to really organize them not only so it looked nice, but also so every shoe was out in the open and not in tupperware. So here are the results...

My Boots, all my work heels & other "fun" heels
My casual shoes, tennis shoes & crocs
Flats & heelsHeels & flip flops
I poured a big glass of sangria last night and got to work. I felt pretty good. I even organized my bins of purses and purged a few.

OH and just to clarify...Yes I had 6 pairs of tennis shoes, BUT 1 pair is not for running and merely for a "cute" factor. One pair was that pair that everyone had so you get too, but you can't run in them. One pair was the old school bowling shoes and the last 3 were actual running shoes. I got rid of the bowling shoes and one pair of running shoes. I still can't decide on the chunky New Balance.

So there you have it. I organized last night. With wine.

Tuesday Thoughts

How often do you paint your nails? Do you get them done professionally or DIY? What's your favorite color?

***

I love love having my toenails painted. I'm too cheap to get them done professionally so I do them myself. If the polish starts to chip I immediately repaint them. I do cave and get a pedi about twice a year. I like to paint my toenails according to the season...for instance

spring: light pink, nude
summer: hot pink, orange-red/pink
fall: burgundy, purple, red

I HAVE to have cute toes. Just another weird quirk.

I don't normally paint my fingernails because they end up chipping too quickly AND now that my anemia is under control they actually grow and look quite nice.

OH I also taught myself how to do the white french tips on my toes using Q-tips! I should to a tutorial....

***

What about you?

Possible addiction

I'm a girl and I love shoes. Like seriously what girl doesn't? I work in the professional world so I have several pairs of heels to rotate with my outfits. I also live in Texas so I have numerous pairs of flip flops.

I recently went to Payless for BOGO and got three really cute pairs of shoes. Well originally I got two on the first trip, but while I was there I saw this adorable pair of turquoise shoes. I thought about them for a few days and with the help of Rachel I decided to go back and get them since they were on sale for $9. I have something like 6 weddings to attend next year so I'm thinking I'll browse the sale racks this fall for a cute summer dress to match. Bam. An outfit to wear to at least two of the weddings next year, and all for a discount. Love it.

OK, but back to my "possible addiction." Sunday my parents came over for my step-mom's birthday. While chatting she mentioned that one of her young co-workers mentioned she had 45 pairs of shoes! I was like WOW, that's a lot. I don't know if I have that many. My step-mom though it was a super high number just for shoes (Hi Karen, I know you're reading this).

This got me thinking...how many pairs of shoes do I have?

So I started counting.....not good.

I have...I have a whopping sixty-two pairs of shoes!!! SIXTY-TWO!! Like really. Is that bad?

So here's the breakdown...

Heels: 13
Summer slip on: 2
Flats: 8
Boots: 1
Crocs: 1
Casual shoes: 3
Tennis shoes: 6
Summer strappy: 12
Flip flops: 17

I just almost had an anxiety attack just writing it all down. That.is.a.lot.of.shoes. However, while going through them...really going through them I saw quite a few pairs I can get rid of.

Heels: I wear pretty much all of my heels to work. I am good about rotating them so I don't wear any one pair out. I love my work shoes so I think that category is good. That also includes some of my cork wedge heels for summer dresses and jeans.

Summer slip on: keeping all of these.

Flats: I saw one pair for sure that I could get rid of.

Boots, crocs & casual shoes: Leaving these.

Tennis shoes: Who seriously needs 6 pairs of tennis shoes? One pair I kept for grunge shoes just in case. I think I'll throw those out and use my back up pair of sneakers for possible grunge. Then I have some slip on new balance...not wearing those anytime soon. See.You.Later. Then I have some bowling-like sneakers from high school. Haven't worn them since high school...bye bye. Then I have those ultra chunky new balance tennis shoes. Still on the fence about those. I'm thinking bye bye.

Summer strappy: These are all my little strappy shoes for skirts and dresses. I saw one pair from a wedding that I can really get rid of. I also have two pairs of white ones. One pair has to go. Another pair I have is cute, but uncomfortable. I have held onto them because those are the shoes I wore when hubby proposed. I'm thinking I should just let that one go.

Flip flops: 17 may be a bit excessive. I'm thinking quite a few pairs can make their way to goodwill or our garage sale pile.

So after counting and almost having a heart attack I realized I should probably go through my shoes. One good thing is that I wear most of them, but the ones I don't need to go.

Tonight when I get home I'm going to go through them and toss some. I'll let you know the results.

How many pairs of shoes do you have? How many pairs is too many?

You don't say...

Another steal from Dawn...

Your Soul Is Connected to the Summer

You are the type of person who isn't content to let life pass by. You truly believe that life is for the living.

You are outgoing and friendly. You enjoy being around other people, and you're the first one to say "yes" to a social event.

You don't take anything too seriously, and you're known as a bit of a flirt. You feel best when you make other people feel good.

You are happy with the life you are given, even if it isn't much. You are content to bask in the sunlight.

Seriously.

Seriously. Have you tried one of these? Heaven I tell you. Heaven. I signed up for a free sample at god knows where and I got it in the mail awhile back. I decided to bring it in to work today to share with a friend. Good friends share chocolate :)

I had the Chocolate Molten Cake. For some powder mixed with water, adorned in chocolate sauce and cooked in the microwave this stuff completely rocks. It was ultra moist and oh.so.yummy. Not to mention ready to devour in 30 seconds. No worries friends. Only 150 calories per MINI bowl.

Seriously. You need to go buy one of these and indulge. Go get a coupon here.

OH and a huge BTW...

I have this thing with having some kind of dessert at night (and sometimes during the day, but I digress). Probably not good for my growing and expanding waist line, but whatever. So I've stopped buying ice cream (all the time). I don't buy candy, but mostly because we don't eat it. Like seriously we have candy from 2 years ago. We just don't eat it. Cookies take us weeks and months to eat. I guess we're good like that. Guess.

Ice cream though. Mmmm I love ice cream. Blue bell homemade vanilla to be exact. One thing I started doing was using a coffee cup for my ice cream instead of a bowl. I can't put as much in there and I'm not left with this ginormous full feeling. OK I'm getting off topic.

I love having a little "topper" to my dinner. I can't eat ice cream all the time and although I love skinny cows, they can't be that good for you.

So my fix???

Yes. Yogurt. Buy a box of these bad boys and toss them in the freezer. When you want something cold and a little sweet you can have one of these and not feel so bad! It will leave you pleasantly full and satisfied!

Much better, healthy-oriented option than my latter dessert.

She's a rambler...

Yes. Wordy I am. Whatever. So for this post I plan to ramble ALL about what's in my little head...

* I've been Bitching Bessie, Negative Nancy and god knows who else. I apologize wholeheartedly. I promise I'm not the resident bitcher. I really am a happy, go-lucky kind of girl...some things are just a bit sucky right now.

* I was asked by my Mother-in-law to donate some jewelry to a silent auction she's put together for a Memorial Fishing Tournament. Not only is it for a good cause, but I also get a chance to expose my business a bit. I'm hoping people like the stuff!! I made some stuff out of my Etsy store for it. We had to drive over to the fair office to drop it off last night and then ended up going to dinner with the in-laws. It was fun! So no Wii hula hooping for me last night Brandi.

* Brandi has inspired me to bust out the Wii fit again. I played on Monday and had SO much fun! I had forgotten how much I enjoy it. I need to play on there more often :) Hold me to it Brandi.

* Let's tell a story..."Once upon a time...There was this little woman. Her name was little Daisy Mae. Little Daisy Mae worked her little heart out. She worked for this good company and she was Soooooo happy. After awhile lots of people at little Daisy Mae's company quit. She was worried, but carried on. Lots of work got handed to little Daisy Mae, but it was some new opportunities for her as she was tiring of the old. Little Daisy Mae's plate was becoming awfully full, so in a meeting she expressed her fullness and need for just a little support. Everyone seemed caring and understanding. After said meeting little Daisy Mae got more work. The end"

* My new work out classes start next month. I'm taking Zumba, which I've taken before and LOVED it. I'm also taking Cardio Funk and Hip Hop. I'm super excited and hope they're lots of fun. Hopefully I can get my dance on.

* Have I mentioned that I'm going to see Britney Spears in September with one of my best friends? No? Oh, well I am and I'm super pumped about it!!!! I LOVE her music. It just makes me want to dance, Dance, DANCE! So pumped.

* Hubby starts Football full-time this weekend. He has to scout on Friday night. Now it begins. I will not see my husband on a friday until Decemeber. Oh well I guess. Part of what comes with being a coach's wife. More scrapbooking and craft time I assume.

* Fidgeting Gidget wrote a post this morning on support systems and friends. We all know my husband is my number one along with my family and analog friends. But suprisingly all of the people I've meet in the blog world have become such great friends. Like FG said, you all are so supportive with your comments and messages through Twitter. Often, I talk to y'all more than I talk to my analog friends. When I started blogging I never, in a million years, anticipated this kind of experience. (Ok so here's the mushy part) I moved a lot as a kid so I was always the new girl. I did however make a lot of friends along the way. Some I thought were really great. I've tried to keep in touch over the years, but it just doesn't seem reciprocated. I've given up trying. Apparently the feeling isn't mutual. It hurts. It really does because although I don't see these people they meant something to me. Oh and FG, I have my tassels too. They are great to have. So in fewer words...all of YOU, all my blog buddies...y'all rock! Thanks for being my friend, lifting me up, supporting me, making me laugh, making me smile - thanks for being really great blog friends. Maybe one day we will meet for real!

* Oh so tax free shopping is this weekend here in Texas. Hubby and I are going on Saturday morning as he needs new khakis and polos for work. I'm going to see if I can get a pair of shoes out of it :)

Tuesday thoughts

OK so this week's question is...

You get home from work and you just DON'T feel like cooking. Where do you go to eat on a whim?

***

We have this lovely (well two lovely) Mexican food restaurants in town. One we go to if we want enchiladas and tacos and the other if we want fajitas. Both restaurants are really, really good. The fajita one has the best salsa. I will actually start to crave it...speaking of....I need to go get a fix :)

I love that it's quick, cheap, and you get free ice cream when you leave.

I'm not a dummy

As most of you know I was messing around on the internet last night trying to pick out a new layout for my blog. It turned out to be a bit traumatic.

I was so excited about my new template from OurBloggerTemplates.com that I completely forgot to write my widgets down! I lost everything. Poo.

On a good note, I got a fabulous layout from OurBloggerTemplates for FREE and it was SO EASY! Quick and easy to upload. Easy to customize the colors! Fantastic. I wish my side columns were wider, but I don't know how to change that. Not.Going.There.By.Myself.

I went to sleep quite frustrated. I told my husband "Honey, I've screwed up my blog. Now no one will come read." Dramatic. Yes.

So this morning I came into work and remembered that I save all my banners and awards to a folder here at work! Sweet! Then thanks to LABELS I was able to go back into my archived posts and see who gave me what award! Problem fixed! I exclaimed..."I'm not a dummy!!"

So trauma no more. I have rescued myself from deserted blog land. Now I'm going to make a few more edits then get to work. I actually have quite a bit to do today.

You want to know WHAT?

I posted earlier this month about doing a Question and Answer post with all the questions you were dying to know about me! So here you go! Enjoy.

Iva asked:

Where do you usually get your inspiration for your jewelry? :)

I search around online, read magazines, walk around the bead aisles of a store...I really take it from anywhere. I will be in a retail store and see something I like, so I take a picture so I can make it later on. Sometimes things just pop into my head and I decide to make it to see what it would really look like.

Rachel asked:

Where did you and the husband meet? And when did you know he was 'the one?'

My husband and I met at the little league baseball park. Our little brothers played on the same team. We also went to the same high school.

When did I know he was the one....I knew from pretty early on that I really liked him. After a few years we talked about eventually getting married, but I think it really hit me when we got to college and we still made it work. We went to separate colleges, but were able to stay focused and faithful to one another. I knew if we could survive 5 years in a long-distance relationship then we could do anything.

Fidgeting Gidget asked 3 Questions:

If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would you live?

Anywhere?? I think I would move to the rolling hills of Texas. It's gorgeous there and has a slow pace of life. (that's a totally lame answer huh? I won't even leave my state)

What's your dream job?

My dream job would be a professional organizer/planner. To get people organized and plan events for them...weddings, birthdays, parties...I think it would be a lot of fun and it's right up my alley :)

Have you ever met any bloggers (aside from the ones you know in analog)?

No, I've never met any bloggers. I would really love to though. I enjoy meeting new people and I've become friends with a lot of bloggers, so it would be nice to put a "real face" with a name.

Dawn asked 3 Questions:

What has surprised you most about blogging?

The welcoming you get from the blog world. I was really writing just to write because I babble. To have people actually interested in my daily life and my babblings is amazing. I have found people like me and have connected with them and become friends. I think that is just totally cool.

What is your favorite spot in your home?

My absolute favorite spot is on the chaise lounge section of our sofa. We have a very comfy couch and the hubby and I like to spend time there. It's got a great view of our whole house too. I think I mostly like that I can sit facing forward and have my legs all stretched out in front of me instead of hanging off.

What was your favorite detail from you wedding?

I had a lot of details to my wedding. I made sure of that. It's hard to pick a very favorite. I really loved my flowers because they were so bright and summery. But really I think my very, very favorite detail was my dress. It was the first dress I picked out once I got engaged and the only one I tried on. I knew that was the dress I wanted to marry my husband in. It was a short dress, but longer in the back. It had a lace overlay. It was gorgeous and I think completely representative me.

Thanks to everyone who played along!! If you have more questions, just let me know and I'll do another post.

Writer's Workshop

Writer's Workshop

The prompts:

2) Why are American's obsessed with weight? Why are we always fighting or complaining about what is natural for our bodies?

I thought this was a GREAT question. BelleCene posted a really good blog on this very topic. We, as Americans, are so focused on weight, yet look at what we eat! Fast food has become a way of life for so many. That stuff is SO bad for you. I try not to eat fast food very often and choose to eat at sit-down restaurants instead when we do go out to eat.

I think a main reason we are so focused on weight is who the "role models" are. I'm talking about actresses, people on TV, the individuals pasted on the front of the magazines...they all have these "perfect bodies" and that's what we all desire. I admit that I have been guilty of this. Sure I want to look great and have a rockin body, who doesn't? The thing I had to realize was that one they are so airbrushed and photoshopped. That's not how they really look. Two, besides the obvious photoshopping, yes these people look great because they don't have full-time jobs i.e. M-F 8-5. They have personal trainers they can work with several hours a day. So not realistic for most of us.

As I said, I am definitely guilty of wanting this certain body type. I'm slowly coming to the realization that I won't EVER have the body you see on magazines. My 5'1.5" little self with a short torso just won't allow it. I'm built like a gymnast so I'm a bit "stalkier." I'm straight down the sides. No real curves other than love handles :) I'm not going to be an hourglass with a tiny waitt. Not.gonna.happen. So why torture myself to look a way that I know isn't possible?

Exactly.

We all do this to ourselves and WHY? For what reason? I think we all need to be comfortable and love what God gave us...curves, rolls, love handles and all. Embrace what ya got! Figure out what things you can improve to make you happy with what you have. We shouldn't focus on what is virtually impossible. My self included.

Make good choices people. That's what it comes down to. Make healthy choices when it comes to eating. Sure, splurge every now and then!! Heck I do! You better bet I'm not skipping a piece of cake!! :) But I will only have one piece. I've never done diets because I don't like restricting myself from things - then I only want them more. Just don't overdo it.

I'm getting off topic.

We're so focused on weight loss and what a person looks like because that's what I feel we've been trained to do. Buy this magazine so you too can look this great. Buy this makeup so you too will look as beautiful. OR they show pictures of "beautiful" women and they are all board skinny.

I think a truly beautiful women is one who is comfortable in her own skin...I need to take my own advice :)

Busy little bee

Hi friends. How's it going?

I have some fun and exciting news (well for me anyway). Do you remember the link I posted about a GREAT website that was geared towards relieving stress?? No? Go to Ourstressfullives.com and check it out. Jill has a lot of great information.

Well Jill found me through Twitter, popped on over here to check out Next to Heaven, saw I had an Etsy store, and asked me to write an article for her about being successful in your career, but also following your dreams whatever they may be.

I'm sure most of you know that I have a love for crafting. I post all my pictures and tell you all my crazy things like how I make jewelry before work to match my outfit (like today). It's really been a goal or dream for me to have my own little store. I honestly don't even care if we don't do well. I know my family and friends love my stuff and I love making it and giving it. My goal was to try it and share what I love to do with the world. check. check.

Of course I'd love to do well as that means I've fully succeeded in what I love to do and others love it so much they want to buy it. We'll see how it goes. Baby steps. Baby steps.

Well I took some time this week to write a piece for Jill about pursuing my dreams and trying my hardest to never say "one day" and never follow through.

Because I love y'all and I love sharing things with you, I thought I would also share my article with you. If you want to read it, you can go here.

If you need some stress relief in your life and are looking for some great tips, please go check out OurStressfulLives.com or follow Jill on Twitter. She tweets some great articles. I've already signed up for her newsletter. Thanks for the great opportunity Jill!*

*Jill didn't ask me to post about her website in return for giving me a writing opportunity. I genuinely feel her website and information is fantastic and beneficial.

Tuesday Thoughts

OK so Tuesday thoughts...I ask a question - you ponder then answer.

*please excuse me while I ponder a question for you...

What food do you eat most when you are stressed?

***

Me? Chocolate. It's chocolate for bored and sad too. It's like the greatest cure-all ever invented. :) Well in my opinion anyway.

Oh and any kind of chocolate will suffice...snack size, bar size, cookie form...whatever I can get my hands on!!

What about you?

Monday Night Fun

Borrowed from the wonderful Dawn.

1. I’ve come to realize that my chest-size. . .
isn't as big a deal as I once thought it was. Having nothing is quite the advantage :)

2. I’ve come to realize that my job. . .umm. Has it's good and bad days. Has it's perks along with the pros and cons. But all in all my job is a bonus because I even have one!!

3. I’ve come to realize that when I’m driving. . . I think I space out sometimes because I'll be driving and be like "whoa I'm already here?" I'm a good driver though :) Keep in mind I sit in a lot of traffic for long periods of time.

4. I’ve come to realize that I need. . .good balance - good quality time with husband, good times with friends and time for crafting :)

5. I’ve come that realize that I have lost. . .touch with some friends along the path of life but it's OK because I met them for a reason. The ones who've stayed are the great ones meant to be in my life.

6. I’ve come to realize that I hate it when. . .people are rude to me and condescending.

7. I’ve come to realize that if I’m drunk. . .I'm hilarious. However, I don't prefer "drunk" - I prefer "highly buzzed" - there's a fine line and I like to stay on a certain side of that line.

8. I’ve come to realize that money. . .isn't everything and should be managed well.

9. I’ve come to realize that certain people. . .just really don't get it. They will always be "that" person and I can either like them or not.

10. I’ve come to realize that I’ll always. . .be me - the quirky, crazy, sometimes talks to herself, dances in the car, makes up lyrics, laughs loud, loves corny jokes, self-conscious, cares too much what people think, curly haired goofball I am.

11. I’ve come to realize that my sibling(s). . .Are the best! Despite any age differences, we get along really well now.

12. I’ve come to realize that my mom. . .is who she is I can't change that, but she has made better life choices.

13. I’ve come to realize that my cell phone. . .has become a bigger part of my life than I ever thought it would.

14. I’ve come to realize that when I woke up this morning. . .I was waking up to a new day with a new canvas.

15. I’ve come to realize that last night before I went to sleep. . .that I was giggly and silly with my husband and I love those silly jinx moments my husband and I have.

16. I’ve come to realize that right now I am thinking. . .I really want a glass of milk with some cookies....Oh Hubby...

17. I’ve come to realize that my dad. . .is the greatest Dad a girl could ever ask for. He's always been a great Father and never pressured me or made me feel guilty about silly things. He's a great role model.

18. I’ve come to realize that when I get on Facebook. . .I don't usually get past the feed page anymore.

19. I’ve come to realize that today. . .is another day to be grateful for and it is what I make of it.

20. I’ve come to realize that tonight. . .is a great night - a normal night of relaxing on the couch with hubby :)

21. I’ve come to realize that tomorrow. . .is a new day and to make the best of it.

22. I’ve come to realize that I really want to. . .take the whole last week of December as vacation :)

23. I’ve come to realize that the person mostly likely to repost this is. . .probably Julie or Lyn.

24. I’ve come to realize that life. . .is (like dawn said) a series of ups and downs, decisions and great times - you can make it whatever you want to be and that's it's a gift.

25. I’ve come to realize that this weekend. . .will be great! Dinner with friends, some possible crafting, a baby shower, a memorial cook off and re-lax-ation!

26. I’ve realized the best music to listen to when I am upset. . .(like Dawn) reflects my thoughts & feelings in its lyrics.

27. I’ve come to realize that my friends. . .are so very special to me as they are all so different in their own way.

28. I’ve come to realize that this year. . .has been very busy with some interesting turns.

29. I’ve come to realize that my exes. . .are non-existent?

30. I’ve come to realize that maybe I should. . .not worry so much about things.

31. I’ve come to realize that I love. . .taking in what's around me and enjoy the good moments.

32. I’ve come to realize that I don’t understand. . .why people sometimes act the way they do. Why they can be so hurtful and heartless. So rude and condescending. So ignorant and oblivious. But...these things I will never understand.

33. I’ve come to realize my past. . .makes up who I am today.

34. I’ve come to realize that parties. . .are way different now than they were in college.

35. I’ve come to realize that I’m totally terrified. . .of speaking in public.

36. I’ve come to realize that my life. . .is filled with great people and great things all of which are amazing blessings that I'm so grateful for.

Monday Monday

Hey y'all. Long time no see huh? How was everyone's weekend??

Friday I successfully convinced my husband to take me out for Mexican food and margaritas. We ran a few errands in town and then had a nice little dinner along with a Dos Equis and a Strawberry Margarita. It was very enjoyable.

Saturday morning we got up really early to get ready to head to Huntsville for our friend's graduation. They had a nice little party afterwards. It was fun to see his family and hang out with friends. We had to run a few errands on our way home and we saw a ridiculous fender bender. It's amazing how people get through everyday. Saturday night Bailey came over and we worked on product for our store. I stayed up until like 1 am beading away. You can't stop when you feel inspired :)

Sunday morning I worked on some more jewelry and finally ran errands. Bailey came over and we worked out some logistics with our shop - pricing, policies, shipping, taking pictures and FINALLY uploading some stuff!!

Today was a decent day. I was a complete slacker AGAIN and skipped out on my work out class. I just wanted time with my hubby and to relax. Totally not what I needed to do as I'm up 3 pounds. Ugh. Well I get home and hubby wants to work in the YARD! Go figure. So I played online, but didn't for some reason catch up on my Google reader - which I'm so SO behind on. Oye.

So let's see...I've babbled on and on here ^insert snore here right? OK so down to some business...

1. Our Etsy store is fully open! Everything we had ready for the store is now uploaded!! I'm so excited. We're very proud of our store and hope you love it.

2. We had our first sale early this morning (from the wonderful Kristina)! I was so excited to wake up to that. What a way to start a Monday! (thanks KC for the sweet post)

3. I was planning to do my Q&A post Friday, but I didn't feel that was enough time...so I'm planning to post MY Q&A THIS FRIDAY!! So ask away my friends. Ask away.

4. I found this great website for relieving stress in your life - go check it out here or tweet her @stressless_jill - super sweet! She also tweeted this today and I think it's great.

5. Have I told y'all you're the best followers ever!? You are. Thanks so much!!

Spunk & Sass go LIVE!!

That's right! It's OFFICIAL! We're LIVE on Etsy.

Go check out Spunk & Sass Designs!!

Bailey and I have been working very, very hard this weekend to get the store up and going. I'm very excited about what we've put up so far and I do hope we'll have some success with this new venture.

I really enjoyed making a bunch of stuff for the store. We have so much made in fact that we didn't have enough time this evening to get it all uploaded. So keep checking back as we'll be adding stuff over the course of this week.

Thanks for all of your support. Let me know how y'all like everything.

Also, the Spunk & Sass green button to the left will take you to the blog we've created for our Etsy store. Right below that is a small gallery of some stuff we have in the store. You can click anywhere on there to be taken to our store.

Well my house has slightly suffered this weekend with all my beading so I'm off to do laundry, put sheets on the bed, straighten the house, and get to bed! Hope everyone had a really wonderful weekend. Sweet dreams!

Is it just me or did this week c-r-e-e-p by?! ugh. It seriously took forever for Friday to get here!! This post is just going to be a random post...but we like random. right?

-As I type I'm catching up on So You Think You Can Dance. I missed last night's so I need to watch this one because the Finale is on tonight!!!! I'm anxious to see who wins. Jeanine is one of my favorites, but Kayla is too. Anyone else watch this show?

-I'm making some BBQ pork tonight for dinner so my house smells super yummy right now.

-I'm really glad tomorrow is Friday. I'm hoping it's a pretty quiet day at work and we get to wear jeans on Fridays so that's always fun! Makes the day really feel like Friday.

-Saturday we're going to our friend's graduation in Huntsville. I've got to pick out a dress to wear and maybe make some jewelry!! :)

-I'm really craving desserts lately. What is my deal?

-I register for my next set of classes on Saturday. I'm looking at Zumba and Cardio Hip Hop/Funk. I think they will be fun, give me something to do during the week, AND keep me -er- get me in shape.

-I'm starting to read The Time Traveler's Wife. I really want to read the book before I see the movie when it comes out.

-I'm dying to start re-reading Twilight so my mind is fresh when New Moon comes out in November. I'm holding myself off until later in the fall because I know it won't take me long to read them.

-All my pictures I ordered for my Dominican scrapbook came in today, so I'm officially ready to start scrapping!

-Please don't forget about my Q & A session. Go here to ask your question(s).

-And I'll close this post with some very, very EXCITING news. Are you ready?

I FINALLY, along with my friend Bailey, opened an ETSY STORE. Yes, that's right! We have an Etsy store! There's nothing in it yet, but stay tuned because there will be in the next week or so.

Writer's Workshop

Welcome to another Thursday edition of Writer's Workshop. Thanks Mama Kat. And because I like to talk I will answer all of them...again.

The Prompts:
1.) What's ailing you? Diagnose yourself with a syndrome.

Organistresssocialmediaism - what's that you ask? Trying to be ridiculously organized while being stressed about daily life and trying to keep up with all the social media (like Mama Kat).

2.) Share with us something you made by hand.

Ooo I have some pretty good things up my sleeve! Stay tuned, but for now I have this necklace that I'm wearing today.

3.) Fess up. Tell us what you found after a spying on someone.

Spying. I'm trying to remember the last time I spied. I can't recall so I'll pass.

4.) "How are y'all doing it? This summer, I mean? I cannot remember ever being as busy as we've been over the past two months. Those of you who are blogging daily, being as witty and entertaining as ever...I beg of you...HOW?"

I really don't know. This summer has flown by with such incredible speed it's beyond me. I have somehow managed to blog, if not daily, at least a few times a week. I'm able to tweet daily. Now witty and entertaining I'm not completely sure on, but I'll leave that up to you. I think I'm just trying to manage my time wisely and know my priorities. I think.

5.)What are you afraid of?

Hmm. What am I afraid of? I'm actually afraid of a lot like...spiders, snakes, flying stinging bugs, heights, the dark, bad people, death, rejection...See I may be crazy in other areas of life, but I'm afraid of lots of things!

Monkey See, Monkey Do

{I wrote in my title for this post and it made me laugh. Sick. Sick I tell you. But only because my boss called me a monkey yesterday. Long story. Ha. (please read earlier post)}

My REAL reason for this post is to do just like Novelista Barista, K13, Fidgeting Gidget, and probably many others - Have a question and answer session! I am not sure how well this will go over as I'm superfluously wordy and tell you just about everything-over the internet no less. Oh well.

BUT!

I would love to answer anything you would like to know about little 'ol me! So please leave your questions below in the comments section and I will get a post together for Friday answering all of them!!

I'm excited so I hope you are too! And hey...look at this! A second blog post today. Maybe things are looking up. :)

So ask away my friends. Ask away!
