Show Us Your Life - Beauty Products

I was catching up on some Google Reader and noticed a few people did a fun post called Show Us Your Life - Beauty Products. Jenn and Bailey both did it too. I thought this would be a fun and interactive post, so here we go...

A peek into my bathroom cabinet and cannot-live-without beauty products/essentials:

1. Aveeno Positively Radiant Makeup Removing Cleanser: Last Fall I was having trouble with dry skin due to a cleanser I was using, so I switched to Aveeno thanks to some helpful Tweets. I love this foam because it's light and leaves my face feeling fresh.

2. Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15: I love this stuff. My blemishes have minimized {I hope I'm not jinxing myself} and my face looks good. The moisturizer is light and doesn't leave my face oily or greasy. A lot goes a long way with this, so although it's expensive, it really lasts.

3. Dove go fresh Therapy Energize Shampoo: I really like this shampoo. It leaves my hair smelling good {for a few days even} and it doesn't weigh it down with buildup. I really do feel energized after using it and have this great clean feeling. Love it.

4. John Freida Frizz-Ease Weather Works: This is the only thing I put in my hair when I leave it curly. It's not heavy and it helps to tame some of the frizz my curly locks generate. It's very handy.

5. Clinique Superbalanced Powder Makeup SPF 15: I've used all kinds of powders, but never found one I liked. I wore Bare Minerals for awhile, but it started irritating my skin. My grandmother treated me to some Clinique powder to see if it would do the trick. I really like this powder. It's light, not heavy, and is conservative. You twist the sides to get powder so you never really waste any. I wouldn't say that it holds the whole 8 hours like it says, but it's pretty close. This stuff is great.

6. L'Oreal Lash Boosting Mascara: I had the opportunity to try this because of being a Bzz Agent and I have to say I'm pretty pleased. I have really fine, sparse eyelashes, so it's hard to find a mascara that doesn't clump them all together and keeps them nicely fanned. I'm pretty picky, but this stuff seems good.

7. Cover Girl Perfect Point Plus Eye Pencil: I have tiny little eyes, so I need something to make them stand out. I can't wear too much eye makeup or they disappear so I have to be careful. I have these eyeliners in Plum, Espresso, and Midnight Blue. I like to change it up with what I'm wearing. I just put a small line on my bottom eyelid and I'm good to go.

8. C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Shine: I LOVE lip gloss with a BIG L! This, by far, is the best lip gloss I have ever used. I got it for Christmas from one of my Sister-in-Laws and I am now addicted. It's a bit pricey a tube, but it seems to last as a little goes a long way. I love it because it gives my lips a great shine to them, makes them tingle, and it tastes good. I hate a "waxy" lip gloss. I can put a little bit of color under it or use it alone. I love this stuff!

9. Bath & Body Works Twilight Woods Fragrance Mist: My husband makes fun of me for liking this scent merely because it has Twilight in the title and well we all know my love for the Twilight books. However, it's not. I really, honestly and truly, love the scent. It's fresh and has a floral, outdoor smell. I use the lotion and the mist. I'm not much on perfume, mainly because I've never found anything I really liked. I really just like a faint, floral, clean smell on me and my clothes. I can't stand overpowering smells. A few sprays and I'm good to go!

I'm fairly minimalist when it comes to beauty products. I don't wear a lot of makeup, so I just keep powder, blush, bronzer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara in my bag. It takes all of two minutes to do my makeup and I love it. When I leave my hair curly it's ultra easy. I apply some frizz-ease, scrunch, and go. I don't use a blowdryer on it, as I prefer to let it air dry. There's a few other items I keep handy, but these are the main ones I use everyday.

What are your favorite products?

I was just looking at Aveeno moisturizers yesterday! I have really weird {oily} skin, and I have yet to find the perfect skincare regimen.

Love Twilight Woods! I actually just bought a body wash that was supposed to go in my "gift stash"...but I think I'm keeping it. :)
