36 weeks - 9 months

{36 weeks in this picture}

How far along? 36 weeks, 6 days (I'm slow in posting this week)

Baby's size? Approximately 18.5 inches long and 6 pounds, which means my girl is probably in the high sixes, low sevens. {ie. a melon lol}

Weight Gain? +3 pounds as of the doctor Wednesday, so +25 total

Maternity clothes? I'm glad I don't have much longer because some of my shirts aren't covering my belly so I'm even more limited on what I can wear.

Stretch marks? None yet!!

Belly button in or out? Out like a turkey timer...

Sleep? Still really hit or miss. Some nights I sleep great and others I toss and turn a lot. Getting up at least twice to pee too!

Foods I am loving? I still can't get enough bananas or milk.

Foods I am hating? Nothing really.

Best moment this week? Celebrating my birthday and getting a good check up at the doctor. No more progress, still at 1 cm, but everything is on track.

Movement? She's starting to slow down in there which drives me crazy. It makes me anxious when she's not moving around like crazy. I know her room is very limited and they say that when the babies run out of room, their movements become less. I press on her a little bit just to get a nudge that she's OK.

Symptoms? Still mild cramps and a few Braxton Hicks this week. Lower back pain is still there, but it comes and goes. I'm definitely slowing down and starting to waddle :) My feet have started swelling pretty regularly so I've been wearing flip flops to work. It really helps keep the swelling down as I'm not shoving them into shoes.

Gender? Girl! - Lexie

What I miss? an ice cold beer :)

What I'm looking forward to? Getting closer to our due date and our baby girl's arrival. 23 days (3 weeks)!! Oh yea, and our BABYMOON this weekend!! I cannot wait to get some nice, relaxing, romantic time away with the husband!!

Weekly Wisdom: Chores become less of a need to do and propping my feet up become more of a have to.

Milestone: Baby girl is full term tomorrow and just 3 weeks until our due date!

Emotions: I'm super anxious. Lots of things are changing with my body to let me know she's getting closer to being here. I can't wait to hold and lay eyes on this sweet girl.

What BabyCenter says:

Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement.

At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely she's in a head-down position. But if she isn't, your practitioner may suggest scheduling an "external cephalic version," which is a fancy way of saying she'll try to coax your baby into a head-down position by manipulating her from the outside of your belly.

Oh and here's a sweet picture of hubby and I last weekend...
