Alexis at 2 weeks

My baby girl is 2 weeks old! How does time go so quickly??

We had my two week check up yesterday and my incision is healing perfectly. Also, I've managed to lose all my baby weight! I actually weigh less than when I got pregnant. Breastfeeding is the ultimate weight loss helper :) well that and maybe a touch of exhaustion lol.

We took Lexie for her 2 week check up today and she's gained 2 pounds since she was born bringing her to 9 pounds 1 ounce. She also already grew an inch and a half!! My sweet chunky girl. Growing way too fast. The doctor did give us the OK though to let her sleep at night. Woo hoo!! No more 2 am feedings :) I'm game for even a 4 hour stretch of sleep!

The last week has been great and we've had lots of cuddle time. Here's a quick glimpse into her schedule.

Sleeping: Baby girl is a sleeper!! We have to wake her up at night to feed her (not anymore though). She still sleeps most of the day, but has longer awake times, which I love.

Eating: As of today she's been eating every 3 hours. I'm breastfeeding her, so she eats anywhere from 6-10 minutes per side. She's obviously a good eater as she's gained 2 pounds in 2 weeks :)

Activity: She's very wiggly when she's awake and likes to kick her legs. She loves clasping her hands together which is too cute. We've started laying her on her activity mat and she loves watching the lights and listening to the music. She prefers tummy time on our chests though.

Likes: She's a snuggle bunny and loves to be held close.

Dislikes: She doesn't always like diaper changes, especially in the middle of the night. She gets fussy sometimes when changing her clothes too - but mostly at night when she pees on herself when we change her haha. She despises heel pricks. And she does not like gas!

Highlights of the week: She's getting so strong! She's getting better at holding her head up on her own and is learning to ease it back down instead of face planting lol. She's such a good, sweet baby!!
