6 weeks

Sleeping: My sweet girl started sleeping through the night! Tuesday night she slept 6.5 hours. We put her in her bassinet around midnight when we went to sleep then I woke up at 5 because my boobs were going to explode! She was still snoozing, so I pumped and went back to bed. Then she woke up at 6:30. Same thing Wednesday night. Then last night she slept 7 hours. Mama's lovin it.

Eating: During the day she eats anywhere between 2.5-3 hours. Since I'm breastfeeding, I have no idea how much she eats, but she'll eat for 6-10 minutes a side. This weekend I'm going to start adding formula to prepare us both for when I go back to work. My goal is to breastfeed in the morning and at night and then do formula during the day.

Activity: She's awake a lot more during the day so we have "play time." We'll bounce on mama's knees, lay on her activity mat, swing or sit in her bouncer. We also make faces to one another, which she thinks is pretty funny. She's so fun when she's alert as she makes all kinds of funny little faces and the sweetest little coos.

Likes: She loves laying on our chests and snoozing. She's also becoming much more accustomed to tummy time and actually enjoys it. She loves laying on our laps and watching the ceiling fan too lol. She loves light, windows, and the outdoors. She really loves vibrations, so her bouncer is one of her favorite places. When I lay her on her changing table, she loves looking out the window and will tell you a story with her sweet coos and grunts. She loves her baths now too! Consistent patting on her back will make her one happy baby.

Dislikes: She doesn't like to be put down much and prefers her head on your chest. She definitely dislike gas and seems to get it quite often. She gets pretty pissed when she spits up everywhere too...it's like she doesn't like to be dirty. Totally my child.

Highlights of the week: As I mention, baby girl is sleeping through the night! Hooray for sleep. 3 nights in a row so far, so hopefully it will continue. She's also started smiling, which just melts my heart. She's such a good, sweet baby (when she's not gassy lol). I still can't believe she's 6 weeks old. Time has gone by way way WAY too fast for my liking. Although...I'm really loving watching her grow and develop. She's always amazing me...
