Little updates...

This morning I was a complete mess as I'm sure you read. I think I cried the better half of the morning.

I decided to be strong and go ahead and call to see how she was doing. They told me "she was just perfect" and I lost it. I lost all composure I had worked up. I sobbed and couldn't even talk. I got out one word answers and silent nods. They probably thought I was nuts. Or emotionally out of control. Or maybe normal. Maybe.

About 30 minutes later they called me to do a play-by-play of what she was doing. They asked if it would be OK to send me picture messages and texts throughout the day too...umm no brainer!!

So throughout the day I have received text updates and picture messages of my sweet little lovebug...

She had just had a bottle and was happy as a clam. They said her teacher LOVES her and wants to steal her and take her home. She said Lexie even got to hang out at the front for a little while because she's loved so much already.

They said she went to sleep perfectly in the bouncer and took a nice long nap. They said she's such a sweet, sweet baby...but I already knew that :P

This last picture was captioned "Hi Mommy!!" and it's just so sweet. It captures her perfectly. She said she only got fussy twice. Once when she was VERY ready for a bottle and the second time when her paci fell out but her teacher was changing another baby's diaper, so she went in there to fix her up. They said she's been perfect :)

I knew we chose a good daycare for Lexie, but I had no idea just how good. This first day has left a very good impression with me. They are kind enough to do this for me when I'm obviously having a hard time...I think it speaks volumes for their establishment. Their little updates have helped me get through the day. Knowing she is OK, content, and happy makes me feel better and worry a whole lot less.

Hubby has to be to work really early tomorrow, which means I have to drop her off so I'm not sure how that will go over, but at least I know they take good care of her. That gives me some piece of mind. Prayers are welcomed for tomorrow!! I'm not promising that there won't be tears though...
