Mama's Girl
I think my little sweetie pie is starting to look like her mama. On the left is one of my baby pictures and to the right is a picture of her this week. Gosh I love her so much!
You know, ever since I was a little girl I always wanted a daughter. I always had the idea that I would have a girl first. Call it intuition, but that's what I always felt. When I got pregnant, even though all the old wives tales said boy, I knew....just knew she was a girl. I even had a dream months before she was born that she would be born on May 21st. She was about 8 hours away from that date!
I am more than ecstatic that my first born is a daughter. Not only can I dress her up cute and adorn her in ridiculously cute accessories, but I hope to have a really strong mother-daughter relationship with her. I love her so much and only want the best. I want to do everything I can for her.
In my daydreaming here are some things I hope for...
1. I {selfishly} hope your first word is "mama."
2. I hope you love wearing cute outfits and continue to let me put headbands on you among other accessories.
3. I hope when you're old enough that you'll run into my arms when I get home from work.
4. I hope you'll enjoy reading at bedtime with me.
5. I hope you'll love spending time with me.
6. I hope you'll ask me to dress your barbies and play make-believe with you.
7. I hope you'll ask to borrow my things to play dress up.
8. I hope you'll hold my hand when walking.
9. I hope you'll love to go get mommy-daughter mani pedis.
10. I hope you'll get excited when we sneak away for ice cream treats.
11. I hope you'll ask your Dad and I to help your build forts.
12. I hope you'll let me take you school shopping for as long as I can.
13. I hope you'll love to make crafts with me and I can teach you what I know.
14. I hope you'll love the things I make for you.
15. I hope you ask me to make things for you instead of buying them.
16. I hope you grow to be a well-mannered, polite, little girl.
17. I hope you will come to me when you need to talk.
18. I hope you will confide in me and ask me for advice.
19. I hope you will always need your mother in some sort of fashion.
20. I hope you and I will always be close because I love you more than anything.

Love the list and I agree I think she is starting to look more like you!
She does look a lot like you when you were a baby. That's always so fun to see. I love your list, and feel the same way about a lot of it. I'm so happy that my first is going to be a girl.
I love this list it will neat to look back on and see how much becomes reality...i really think she does resemble you!!
